Grading Scale/Rubric in Art
Assessment is based on a scale of 0 - 4.
Each lesson has objectives that students are asked to meet based on SOL's and National Standards.
SOL's and National Standards are art based, however, a cross-curricular approach is often used so other subjects will be covered.
4 - All objectives are met, work is done with care, and represents a student's best work.
3 - Some objectives are met; not the student's best work.
2 - Student struggled to grasp the concept; few objectives have been met.
1 - Student did not grasp the concept, not objectives met, work is incomplete.
0 - Child absent.
